dosage for nyquil
I’ve got a really bad cold and am trying to shake it. I take the dosage of NyQuil recommended on the bottle (2 TBSP, or 30 mL), and while it slightly allieviates my symptoms, it does NOT knock me out or really make me drowsy at all.
Does anyone have any speculations as to why? I’m a lightweight (about 101 lbs.), I don’t drink heavily, I’ve never even used NyQuil before. Seeing as it’s notorious for knocking people out for hours at a time, I’m wondering why I’m not getting the same effect.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
No, I didn’t get the Daytime stuff. It’s definitely NyQuil. 
cold flu
I have had a really bad cold-ish flu-ish thing for a week.
Symptoms: coughing/sneezing, mucus-y grossness, sore throat, occasional light-headedness, etc. (the usuals)
I’ve been taking vitamin C and drinking hot tea, soup, and resting for days…I mean, I’ve still gone to school and work, but when I get home (in the early to mid afternoon) I rest a ton…
Why hasn’t this gone away…do you think it’s something more serious, or do you have any other treatments I could try?
nyquil decongestant
I’ve been suffering from some illness for about a week and it seems to be starting to break up. I’ve been taking the Advil Cold and Sinus to keep the pressure out of my sinuses. However, it’s a decongestant. NyQuil is an expectorant, so I’m hoping to take it as well and help the infection purge itself.
acetaminophen nyquil
Is there any way to remove the acetaminophen from liquid NyQuil, or a process to extract the DXM from it? At 500mg Ace. to 35mg dxm. I’d rather not risk chugging a whole bottle just to get a low level trip. Though I’ve done it before to help me to sleep…
ingredients in vicks
Vicks Vapo Rub or Mentholatum Chest Rub or something else? I was just courious. I got some generic kind from the store and I got a bottle from the dollar store. I looked at the ingredients of both Vicks and Mentholatum brand. The dollar store brand had the same stuff in it just not as much and then it had mineral oil too. So it is weaker. The generic store brand had the same ingredients as Vicks. Mentholatum brand has much more Camphor then Vicks however it doesn’t have as many ingredients as Vicks. So I was just wondering what you use? I guess I am partial to Vicks. However my kids love the Mentholatum Cherry for Kids.

Really? Apparently kids are trying to drink the stuff (I actually got the gelcaps) for some sort of buzz. I just looked at the lady dumbfounded when she asked to see my license. What the heck is wrong with people?

I took one Vicks Nyquil COLD & FLU RELIEF LIQUICAPS instead of two. I just turned twelve 2 days ago. I couldn’t take the second one. Is underdose harmfull?
